Thing 9

I can remember several years ago Maria talking about Merlin; I never did get a chance until now to scope things out. Boy, what alot of information. I really like the web-site study mate and that you can down-load to your I-pod. Great for me and my daughter!!

Thing 2

Well, I just listened and saw the Video 7 & ½ Habits online tutorial. I felt that even though is was kinda of boring I do believe some of the things that they discussed. ie Always have a goals in your life and the idea it's never to soon or too late to learn. That learning can and does occur beyond the formal structure of an educational institution and occurs throughout your life.

Thing 23 (Thoughts)

What great and exciting things that I have learned. I will admit a couple of months have gone by without doing any of the 23 things. I had to finish a couple of minor things and I remember how much fun I had during this process. Thank you Maryland Libraries learning.

Thing 22 (Overdrive, NetLibrary, Project Gutenburg)

What a great way to listen to books or music. In past I would take a cd to the gym to place in a cd player to listen to my books. Now I can listen on my audio device and won't have to worry about leaving the cd behind.

Thing 21 ( Podcasts)

Once I got the hang of podcast a very great way of seeing things.

Thing 20 (You Tube)

This was the first time that I actually looked at you tube. I really like watching one of my favorite song by Rascal Flatts., "God Bless the broken road has a very special meaning to me. I also really enjoyed watching the my favorite group the Eagles!!

http://www.peertrainer.com/
PEERtrainer works because it changes how you think about eating and exercise. You log your food, exercise, thoughts each day. Takes 5 minutes. You do so in small groups and teams. Your team members read your logs, and comment on them. When you know that someone is going to read what you write, it helps you become more accountable. Most often, your group members are postive and motivating, and provide support- which is a critial element in helping you lose weight.
I was really excited about finding this blog, it's going to help me start my training again.
